From the front door of Castaway Cottage you can ease back, relax and watch mountain and sunset reflections on the gently flowing Bellinger River. Then, close the door, curl up on a cosy sofa with a good book, a fine wine and enjoy the soft sounds of river and rural tranquillity.

Castaway Cottage is in the river and seaside village of Mylestom on the north coast of New South Wales. It is a 1940's style country weekender has been thoughtfully fashioned into a bright and beachy, comfortable and relaxing hideaway.
The cottage is a like a private cocoon, perfect for a romantic escape for two when all you desire is each other's company in restful and serene surroundings.

It is also ideal for two couples holidaying together or for a family of up to six as there are two double bedrooms and a single bedroom in the cottage.

There is a generous L shaped casual lounge, well equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry, back yard with an undercover entertainment area and gas barbecue, outside shower and off-street parking.
A very short walk away is the beach and tidal swimming pool, surf club, general store and cafe, riverside parks and many hours of seaside strolling along sandy shores.  A short drive away are the villages of Bellingen and Sawtell with their boutique shopping and cafes. A little further, on the Great Dividing Range, is World Heritage rainforest in Dorrigo National Park, or closer, the Littoral rainforest of Bongil Bongil National Park.

Castaway Cottage at Myslestom is about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane - by car it's a drive  of around 6.5 hours and 4.5 hours respectively. By air, fly to Coffs Harbour in just one hour, collect a hire car, drive south for around 20 minutes and you will be here. Welcome.
